Project Manager

Job Summary:

Security 101 – San Francisco [Pleasanton Branch] is now recruiting for a Project Manager that can effectively execute commercial electronic security projects at any scale. Manages, oversees, and coordinates all aspects of the projects from award through completion. Managing customer expectations, customer and internal communications and project budget closely. Handles multiple projects simultaneously. Prepares project installation plan, manages the plan, and prepares and implements job procedures.

Salary and Benefits:

Annual salary varies from $95,000 to $120,000, plus bonuses, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience. Our benefits include medical, dental, coverage, 401(k) matching plan, Profit Sharing paid holidays, PTO and more. Company vehicle, cell phone, and laptop will also be provided.

The Right Candidate:

Will have strong organizational skills and be able manage projects to meet profitability and quality standards. We specialize in sophisticated enterprise level access control and IP video solutions. Maintain inventory, assist in interviews and evaluation of technicians. Promote teamwork and a positive attitude. Assist and participate in weekly branch operations meetings.

  • Hands-on experience in commercial access control and IP-Based video and networked IP is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, resources allocation and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • An understanding of financial reports and the ability to contain costs in handling of large projects.
  • Solve practical problems and carryout responsibilities under general supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload in an efficient, effective manner.
  • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customer & other trade contacts.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for ADA, NEC and NFPA codes.
  • Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.

Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a plus:

Access Control: Prowatch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath, Brivo

Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, MaxPro, Avigilon, Hanwha

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new project opportunities and work with the sales team to win jobs. Assist the sales team in selecting the right products and determining the scope of work necessary to get the job done.
  • Maintains current job plans, specifications, and communications log with customer.
  • Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services, and controls timely delivery to jobsite.
  • Prepares the project installation plan, manages the plan, and prepares and implements job procedures.
  • Works with Operations team for resource planning of technicians, sub-contractors & programmers
  • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades
  • Keeps self, superiors and subordinates informed of progress.
Education:
  • High School (or GED) minimum requirement
  • Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)
  • CSPM, PSP, PMP or similar certification preferred.

Lead Technician

Job Summary:

Security 101 – San Francisco is now recruiting a Lead Commercial Security Technician that has experience installing programming and servicing commercial electronic security devices primarily CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems and overall security systems.

Salary and Benefits:

Hourly wage varies from $29.00 to $44.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, 401(k) plan, paid holidays, PTO and more. We will also provide you with a cell phone, laptop, and work vehicle.

The Right Candidate:
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, servicing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a project lead responsible for complete project supervision.
  • Must be process oriented, with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics with professionalism.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
  • Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
  • Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.

Current certification in one of the following is a plus: Honeywell Pro-Watch, Genetec, Openpath, Exacq, 3xLogic, or Brivo. Security 101 will invest in training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Installing, terminating, configuring, and testing enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. System knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, IP Cameras, Intrusion Detection, Video Analytics, IP network systems, and visitor management, preferred.

Education:
