What do we look for in a Sales Pro?

The Security 101 sales professional is responsible for promoting and selling Security 101 services and technology within an assigned territory, leveraging relationships, and closing new business for our company while ensuring customer retention. An Account Executive is responsible for securing profitable sales and generating reoccurring revenue to new and existing and customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and retention by initiating post installation follow-ups. This rep will also have a commanding knowledge of our product line, as well as that of our services.

  • Create new market share by selling Security 101 products and services to new local commercial customers.
  • Sell managed services and generating reoccurring revenue.
  • Identify prospects utilizing creative lead-generating techniques and maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Independently establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics, and consistently apply time and territory management techniques.
  • Follow up with prospects.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training and reading/research.
  • Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.
  • Process work order and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.
  • Conduct post installation follow-up by contacting customer, ensuring commitments were met and affirming customer satisfaction once the customer has been in service.
  • Adhere to current Security 101 policies, procedures, products, programs and services.
  • College degree preferred
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of outside sales, preferably from a technology field, demonstrated by the consistent ability to meet and exceed quota.

I.T. Security Sales Engineer

Security 101 – Detroit is accepting applications for an I.T. Security Sales Engineer. Security knowledge is not necessary.  We will provide training for the right candidate. The I.T. Security Sales Engineer will support the company’s in-house technology needs. In addition, the I.T. Security Sales Engineer will be responsible for making sure client’s security systems are running smoothly, training the client on the use of the various security technologies, provide clients with help-desk support when needed, and will be responsible for all close out documents at the end of an installation job.

  • 4-Year Degree from an accredited University in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Willing to travel as necessary
  • One (1) to five (5) years in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Industry certifications and memberships a plus
  • Experience in security a plus but not required
  • Previous teaching/training experience a plus
  • Excellent IT, communication, leadership and management skills
  • Assess infrastructure needs on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet the company’s necessary demands
  • Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously

Security Install Technician

Security 101 – Detroit is accepting applications for Security Install Technician. The technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining intrusion detection systems and equipment, access control systems, video surveillance equipment, and related devices, sensors, electric locks, and other applicable force protection equipment. Experience in fire protection a bonus.

  • Must have experience in enterprise level security integration systems
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Willing to travel 25-50%
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or related military school in electronics and or communications is preferred but not required
  • Three (3) years in security including new installation, design and troubleshooting
  • Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures
  • Must have experience in IP cameras, card access, visitor management and intrusion detection
  • Excellent problem solving & communication skills
  • Must have the ability to recognize and provide immediate solutions for onsite changes in system integrations during the construction of buildings
  • Candidate must be able to successfully demonstrate installation, termination and perform maintenance on commonly used hardware
    • Medical and Dental provided by employer
  • Company issued vehicle and gas card after completion of introductory period

Low Voltage Technician

Security 101 is accepting applications for an experienced Low Voltage Technician. The technician will be responsible for data and cabling networks. The candidate must have previous knowledge in running conduit and low voltage wires. This technician will be working in various environments. The candidate must have excellent working knowledge in running conduit and low voltage wires.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Low Voltage Installation
  • BICSI Certification is not necessary but a bonus
  • General knowledge of electronic security installation, NEC, NFPA Life Safety Code issues
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Willing to travel 25-50%
  • Prior experience including: Installation, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors
  • At least five (3) years experience in Low Voltage Data Networks
  • Fiber Optic Splicing experience preferred
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Background in trouble shooting, design and new installation
  • Pulling, terminating, and testing data/low voltage cables
  • Installing support structures such as racks, trays, slings, j-hooks, etc.
  • Plan installations by evaluating locations, locating appropriate access, laying out equipment, and following wiring plans
  • Perform upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and dwelling installations
  • Install drops, outlets, converters, and other system devices
  • Troubleshoot existing services and elevate installations based on quality control standards
  • Maintain, secure and account for equipment inventories
  • Prepare regular, accurate, legible, and timely records
  • Accurately educate customers on the use and functions of their services
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety practices
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and peers
  • Medical and dental provided by employer
