David, a native of Iowa and a graduate of Iowa State University, started his Electrical Engineering career with General Motors in Saginaw, Michigan. After several years of designing control systems for industrial automation, he moved to Chicago with his family to attend Northwestern University and to obtain an MBA/MEM. He has held senior management positions in a variety of industries that include automotive components, high voltage switchgear, construction equipment, electrical connectors and commercial fitness equipment. Most recently Mr. Ritland was president of The Sentral Group, a large contract manufacturer of electrical wire harnesses. For more than 18 years, David has led and developed sales and distribution channels that successfully navigated the technical sale process while satisfying customer demands. Moreover, his vast knowledge in the design and implementation of advanced vision systems, robotic integration, cell controllers will enable him to effortlessly make the transition to the security industry.
Marie Ritland is Owner (51%) of Security 101 - Chicago North, a woman-owned business. Marie gets involved with all aspects of the business and focuses on Business Development. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University College of Engineering, she continued her education and achieved a master's degree in business administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of business. Marie has over 35 years of professional sales leadership experience with companies such as General Motors, Mercury Products, Mubea and Crenlo.
