Security Technician

Job Summary:

Security 101 – Raleigh is now recruiting for a commercial security technician with the ability to support cabling & device installation effectively on new and existing electronic security installations. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn, gain knowledge, and grow your skills from the industry’s best.

Salary and Benefits:

Hourly wage varies from $20.00 to $35.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, 401(k) plan, paid holidays, PTO and more.

The Right Candidate:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience as a commercial electronic security technician.
  • Technical, electrical and/or mechanical knowledge and abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn, advance, and succeed
  • Knowledgeable in common, typical construction practices.
Experience in one or more of the following manufacturers is a Plus:
  • Access Control: Brivo, Honeywell, Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Amag, Openpath.
  • Video: Genetec, Exacq, Avigilon, Axis, Milestone.
  • Locking Hardware: Adams Rite, VonDuprin, Assa Abloy, Schlage.
  • Security 101 will invest in training for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
  • Install integrated systems based on industry approved guidelines, local codes, and standards.
  • Mount and terminate field devices (e.g., Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras).
  • Follow job/manufacturer’s schematic wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation procedures.
  • Complete and process required documentation and administrative tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Commission integrated systems.
  • Ensure high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
  • Follow safety rules and good driving habits.
Education:
  • High School (or GED) minimum requirement.
  • Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred).

Account Executive

Job Summary:

Security 101 – Raleigh is now recruiting an Account Executive that can identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities by creating market awareness of Security 101 products and services. As an Outside Sales Representative in a B2B sales role, the ideal candidate will be actively seeking new business and building relationships with prospects while maintaining relationships and connections with their existing clients.

Salary and Benefits:

Compensation ranges from $100,000+, (with commissions, bonuses, and no earnings cap) commensurate with skills, security industry experience, and product knowledge. You also benefit from a generous commission plan with no earnings cap. We will also provide you with a cell phone, laptop, and an auto allowance. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, 401(k) plan, paid holidays, PTO and more.

The Right Candidate:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of outside B2B consultative sales experience. Electronic security industry knowledge preferred.
  • Performance minded, self-confident & dynamic.
  • Goal-oriented salesperson who exhibits a competitive spirit.
  • Enthusiastic about being able to earn 6 figures with no commission caps.
  • Conducts customer site walk-through’s and estimates both building system installations and service opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and building relationships with new clients that result in installation or servicing opportunities
  • Maintaining relationships with existing clients that result in installation or servicing opportunities.
  • Performing consultative site surveys, system design, estimating and proposal writing.
Education:
  • High School (or GED) minimum requirement
  • 4-year degree preferred
