- About this Notice. This privacy notice sets out how Security 101 collects and uses personal information about you in compliance with our obligations under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020. - Personal Information We Collect. We collect and use the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: such as name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, internet Protocol address, email address, account name, social security number, driver's license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers;
- Personal information as defined in California Customer Records law: such as name, signature, social security number, physical characteristics or description, address, telephone number, passport number, driver's license or state identification card number, insurance policy number, education, employment, employment history, bank account number, credit or debit card number, other financial information, medical information, health insurance information;
- Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law: such as race, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, familial status, disability, military or veteran status, and genetic information;
- Commercial Information: such as purchase and transaction history;
- Biometric information: such as voice prints, fingerprints, imagery of the iris or retina, and face geometry;
- Internet or other electronic network activity information: such as browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with internet web sites and applications;
- Geolocation data;
- Audio, electronic, video, or image information: such as security video footage and customer service call recordings;
- Professional or employment-related information;
- Education information;
- Inferences drawn from any of the information identified above to create a profile reflecting your preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes;
- Sensitive personal information: such as precise geolocation, race and ethnicity information, government ID, payment card information, and social security number;
- Why We Collect and Use Your Personal Information. We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Auditing related to counting ad impressions to unique visitors, verifying positioning and quality of ad impressions, and auditing compliance;
- Helping to ensure security and integrity and prevent fraud;
- Debugging to identify and repair errors that impair functionality;
- Short-term, transient use, including, but not limited to, non-personalized advertising shown as part of your current interaction with us;
- Performing services including maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying customer information, processing payments, providing financing, and providing analytic services;
- Providing advertising and marketing services, except for cross-context behavioral advertising, to you;
- Undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration;
- Undertaking activities to verify, maintain, or improve the quality or safety of our products or services;
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations;
- For the performance of our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Whether Personal Information Will Be Sold or Shared. We may sell your personal information or share your personal information with a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. "Cross-context behavioral advertising" means advertising that is targeted to a consumer based on the consumer's personal information obtained from the consumer's activity across businesses, distinctly branded internet websites, applications, or services. You have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), and certain other privacy and data protection laws, as applicable, to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. - How Long Your Personal Information Will Be Kept. We will keep your personal information while you have an account with us or while we are providing products and/or services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary:
- To respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf;
- To show that we treated you fairly; or
- To keep records required by law.
We will not retain your personal information for longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this notice. Different retention periods apply for different types of personal information.
