Security 101 – Corporate is now recruiting a Senior Staff Accountant. We are a rapidly growing security services business headquartered in Palm Beach County and provide its services to clients across the national footprint. The business is operating in partnership with a well-capitalized private equity firm with the intent to grow the business via strategic acquisitions and organic growth. The Company culture is fun and fast-paced, and the position is a great opportunity to join an organization in the early stages of its operating strategy. This is an in-office position.

Salary:

This is a full-time in-office exempt position with a salary range from $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with skills and experience.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Has a minimum of five (5) years of similar work experience in accounting is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in ERP software, preferably NetSuite.
  • Public accounting firm experience is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel; experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at varying levels within the organization – both in written and verbal form – necessary.
  • Deep Understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience with audit coordination.
  • Experience in monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in fast - paced environment.
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing work of junior staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Controller with the monthly financial reporting closing process, schedule, and tasks.
  • Assists the Accounting team with reconciling and reporting on A/R and A/P control accounts.
  • Maintains and reconciles most balance sheet subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies including but not limited to fixed assets, inventory, deferred revenue and work-in-progress assets and liabilities.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing detailed and related account information.
  • Performs other key accounting tasks and procedures to support the Company’s financial reporting function.
  • Supports both the Controller and FPA Manager in preparing variance analysis and works with operations organization to provide and validate variance explanations.
  • Supports the Controller with evaluating and managing the control environment and assists with the development of process and procedures to improve the underlying financial and operating control environment.
  • Assists manager of FP&A in developing and capturing key metrics and analysis.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
