What You Will Be Doing:

You will be embedded at the headquarters of our national account client reporting to their facility each morning. Responsibilities include deployment & maintenance of enterprise-class security system applications including access control, video surveillance, visitor management, intrusion, and communications. Key focus on maintaining and repairing items sold through service contract or warranty. This includes troubleshooting & repairs at the facility, remote diagnostics & testing of other sites, programming and activation of new security equipment, customer training, quality control, assisting in preventative maintenance inspections, and other duties and tasks as assigned by the Service/Operations Manager.

    • Remote troubleshooting & diagnostics for customer security systems
    • Provides technical support to Service and Installation Technicians on all product lines supported by the company
    • Remote testing support during preventative maintenance inspections
    • Responsible for starting up and checking out systems to ensure all aspects of the system are working, documented, and reporting properly
    • Responsible for application configurations
    • Responsible for customer and employee product training
    • Maintains a good line of communications between service dispatcher and customer representative.
    • Utilizes Security 101 Software Application to document, track, and close service requests
    • Help track labor hours, parts and equipment consumed in responding to scheduled service calls
Qualifications:
        • 4+ years working in the electronic security field where AC/DC theory is used daily
        • 4+ years working with computers at the systems level
        • Understanding of current LAN technology, telecommunications, PLC, and relay logic
        • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
        • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
        • Excellent communication skills
        • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
        • Ability to function as an effective team member
        • Ability to coordinate project & service repairs with other Security 101 personnel working at the site
Desired:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must have 5 years sales or technical experience in commercial access control, IP-based video systems and intrusion alarm systems
  • Prepares service repair quotes for customers after receiving information from service technicians in the field.
  • Prepares box sale quotes for credentials, licensing, and software support
  • Knowledge with common industry products such as Honeywell, Genetec, Exacq, Software House, Milestone, Openpath, Axis, Lenel, and Avigilon.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking
  • Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to customer’s satisfaction
  • Inside sales support experience preferred

Service Manager

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining and repairing items sold, leased, or rented with service contract or warranty, tracking service contracts, supervision and active dispatching of Customer Service Technicians on a daily basis, service billing, parts repair tracking, and completing department operations reports.

Key Duties & responsibilities:

Other duties may also be assigned. Please note that the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location.

  • Develops and maintains Customer Service Database consisting of current service and warranty contract information as well as expired contract information using the Security 101 Software Application
  • Responsible for planning of Scheduled Maintenance calls and assigning routes and schedules through the Service Dispatchers
  • Determines labor hours, parts and equipment required for scheduled service call
  • Track labor hours, parts and equipment consumed in responding to unscheduled service calls, and generate reports using the Security 101 Software Application
  • Requisitions replacement parts and supplies to maintain service inventory
  • Responsible for tracking departmental material orders as well as factory repairs and returns
  • Responsible for the proper maintenance and care of company assigned vehicles. Vehicle must be clean and free of defects that are considered unsafe by the company or state law
  • Provides assistance to Service Technicians in resolving difficult system or equipment issues, including coordinating / escalating issue with manufacturers’ management when necessary
  • Ensures Service Dispatchers are properly trained on Security 101 Software Application in the dispatching of technicians and the tracking and documentation of labor hours, parts and issues involved
  • Manages service department budget and profit margins
  • Responsible for ensuring customers are invoiced on a regular and consistent basis by the Accounts Receivables Department according to each customer’s contract terms
  • Maintains after-hours on-call schedule
Supervisory Duties:

In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years working with computers at the systems level
  • Understand of networks, telecommunications, PLC and relay logic.
Skills/Abilities:
