Embedded Application Support Specialist

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be embedded at the headquarters of our national account client reporting to their facility each morning. Responsibilities include deployment & maintenance of enterprise-class security system applications including access control, video surveillance, visitor management, intrusion, and communications. Key focus on maintaining and repairing items sold through service contract or warranty. This includes troubleshooting & repairs at the facility, remote diagnostics & testing of other sites, programming and activation of new security equipment, customer training, quality control, assisting in preventative maintenance inspections, and other duties and tasks as assigned by the Service/Operations Manager.

    • Remote troubleshooting & diagnostics for customer security systems
    • Provides technical support to Service and Installation Technicians on all product lines supported by the company
    • Remote testing support during preventative maintenance inspections
    • Responsible for starting up and checking out systems to ensure all aspects of the system are working, documented, and reporting properly
    • Responsible for application configurations
    • Responsible for customer and employee product training
    • Maintains a good line of communications between service dispatcher and customer representative.
    • Utilizes Security 101 Software Application to document, track, and close service requests
    • Help track labor hours, parts and equipment consumed in responding to scheduled service calls
Qualifications:
        • 4+ years working in the electronic security field where AC/DC theory is used daily
        • 4+ years working with computers at the systems level
        • Understanding of current LAN technology, telecommunications, PLC, and relay logic
        • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
        • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
        • Excellent communication skills
        • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
        • Ability to function as an effective team member
        • Ability to coordinate project & service repairs with other Security 101 personnel working at the site
Desired:
        • 4+ years working in the electronic security field is desirable
        • 4+ years working with computers at the systems level is desirable
        • Industry product certifications like Honeywell Pro-Watch & MaxPro, Exacq, Axis, Hanwha, and Commend Intercom.

The Enterprise Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and developing new customers, and regional account support for existing enterprise clients.

The ideal location would be in the tri-state area of NY, NJ, and CT. Pennsylvania is also important. The actual territory is nationwide with a strong emphasis on the northeastern U.S.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identify, qualify and developing target prospects.
  • Introduce and sell Security 101 capabilities to new potential customers
  • Introduce new and existing customers to cutting edge emerging technology
  • Work with marketing to develop targeted marketing campaigns
  • Develop relationships with nationally recognized consultants & engineering firms

Minimum Qualifications:

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual will need in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the growth of Security 101, the Sales Department size and/or geographic location.

Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • 10 years progressively responsible business experience or equivalent background
  • Strong understanding of the security industry and customers
  • Demonstrated standing and participation in related local and regional business communities
  • Demonstrated capabilities and a successful record of sales activities in a related business
  • Responsible for preliminary design and configuration of systems. Coordinate with Engineering as appropriate
Skills/Abilities:
  • A professional business image, excellent communication skills and well-developed presentation abilities
  • Attainment of targeted long-term sales volume
  • Development of professional business as well as personal relationships with targeted customer decision-makers
  • Sound judgment and adherence to policy on expenses
  • Ability to solve practical problems to customer and company’s satisfaction
  • Timely, accurate and efficient handling of paperwork
  • Successful track record selling services or product solutions to decision-makers in facilities, purchasing, human resources, finance and administration in corporate environments
