Project Coordinator

Security 101 – Tampa is now recruiting a Field Project Coordinator. Performs installation, startup and closeout of all jobs, assisting Project Managers in design, change orders and other tasks as assigned by the Project Managers. Responsible for managing and maintaining a strong customer relationship. Attend all customer facing project meetings and ensure quality of installation. This role is ideally suited for a highly experienced Lead Technician wanting an advanced step to project management.
Salary:
Hourly wage varies from $30.00 to $40.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

Skills/Abilities:
Must have at least 2 years’ career experience installing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video and intrusion alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of project management, resources allocation and cost control.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Communication skills to include customer presentations and ability to write correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small groups.
- Solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
- Ability to organize workload in an effective manner.
- Strong customer relations and results oriented.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Function as an effective team member.
- Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Current certification in one of the following is a plus:
- Access Control: Lenel OnGuard/S2, Genetec, Software House, AMAG.
- VMS: Qognify (ONSSI), Milestone, Salient, Genetec.
Responsibilities:
Supports project managers in installation and subcontracting activities on installations or service-related jobs.
- Maintains current job plans and specifications.
- Assists project managers with the project installation plan, manages customer expectations and provides persistent support to the project management team.
- Determines, from review of various information, necessary changes in design, implementation plan or other activities and implements same.
- Reviews construction schedules and supports coordination of task and scheduling with other.
- Monitors the performance of subcontractors.
- Keeps self, subordinates, customer and project managers informed of progress.
Supervises:
- Subcontractors as needed.
Education:
- High School (or GED) minimum requirement
- Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)
