Operations Manager

New Jersey

Security 101 – Is a commercial electronic security integrator, recruiting for an operations manager that plans, organizes, directs, and controls all installation and service activities within the company. Responsible for quality of installations, project costs (including field labor, design and project engineering, material, and subcontracts), and other costs applicable to systems operations. Responsibilities also include training and developing of operations personnel.

Salary:

Annual salary range is between $120,000 to $140,000 exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

Skills/Abilities:

The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

Knowledge:

  • Candidates must have sustained working experience in the commercial electronic security integration space.
  • Customer Focus! This is imperative to understand everything touched by operations is a direct reflection of Security 101 and our passion for putting customers first.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the design and installation of electronic security systems.
  • An understanding of job financial reports and the ability to analyze/understand these financials. (20+ Million in annual revenue)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Minimal direction required on day-to-day responsibilities
  • Excellent Microsoft suite knowledge (Outlook/Excel/Project/Word/Power Point)
  • An understanding of job financial reports and the ability to analyze/understand these financials. (20+ Million in annual revenue)
  • Strong management skills and ability to work with multiple departments.
  • Fluid communication skillset, both written and oral.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages installations and service activities of electronic security systems. Responsible for cost and quality control of operations activities.
  • Implements office management procedures/programs to improve quality and enhance the working environment for all operations staff (office and field).
  • Monitors job costs and company operating expenses and prepares/disseminates job progress reports.
  • Assist the Sales Department in proposal reviews and ensuring proposals meet operational guidelines and best practices.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.

Supervisory Duties:

In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. As well as mentoring and working with existing/new staff on empowering them for next steps in their career journey.
