IT Support Specialist

Orlando

Security 101 – Orlando is now recruiting a commercial electronic security programmer with a high level of knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANS, routing, POE, and wireless. Experience in configuring, testing, and commissioning enterprise access control and video management systems.

Salary:

This is a full time position with an hourly wage range between $25.00-$35.00, non-exempt, commensurate with skills, product knowledge and experience.

Skills/Abilities:

  • 3+ years working with information technology systems and solutions.
  • Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows 10 administration, Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (write basic SQL queries, backup and restore databases).
  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Strong customer and results orientation.

Current certification in one or more of the following:

  • Access Control: Genetec, Lenel, Software House, Prowatch, OpenPath.
  • VMS: Milestone, Exacq, Genetec, Qognify.

Recommended:

  • CCNA Routing and Switching, Net+, Security+, A+
  • AC/DC Theory
  • Digital video technology
  • SIP telephony
  • Linux

Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning and final testing new systems
  • New and existing systems configurations and integrations
  • Customer and employee product training
  • Subject matter expert on data networks and computer systems

Education:

  • High School (or GED) minimum requirement
  • Electronics training from a Technical School or Military training in electronics or communications (preferred)
