Reports indicate that video surveillance will dominate the IP market, by exceeding 91% of global consumer IP traffic by the year 2014. HDTV will also be a key factor in helping quadruple IP traffic from 2009 to 2014.
Daniel Gundlach, V.P. of marketing-Bosch believes in 2011, more products and developments in HD and IP support devices, as well as the complete availability of HD solutions, will drive sales.
Network video surveillance equipment sales are forecast to continue to outpace analog video surveillance equipment sales in terms of revenue, with excess growth of 20% compared to the previous year.
End users and system integrators are key in the transition and are aware of IP/IT training. Integration is a leading end-user concern this year, but growth is predicted to rise.
