In late October, dozens of people gathered at the University of Utah stadium for an exciting Security Summit held by Security 101 - Salt Lake. The purpose of the event was to discuss emerging drone detection technology as a means to help protect no-fly zones for businesses and governments. The summit featured interactive exhibits and demonstrations of the technology and valuable insights from industry experts, such as Mark Lemery, the critical infrastructure protection coordinator of the Statewide Information & Analysis Center of Utah, and a spokesperson from the Utah Department of Natural Resources. The event concluded with prize giveaways and complimentary drone flying lessons sponsored by Rocky Mountain Unmanned Systems.
