OVERVIEW:

Installers report to the Project Manager, but may be responsible to Lead Installers on a daily activities basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing installation, startup and closeout of all jobs, assisting Project Managers in design, and other tasks as assigned by the Project Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Please note the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location.

  • Installs and pulls wire as per specifications
  • Installs and wires equipment used in systems
  • Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of system
  • Works in compliance with the Company’s safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times
  • Responsible for the proper maintenance and care of company assigned vehicles. Vehicle must be clean and free of defects that are considered unsafe by the company or state law
  • Submits all paperwork in a complete and timely manner (example: vehicle log, timesheets, etc.)
  • Communicates daily with Lead Installer or Project Managers on delays, requirements and general status of jobs
  • Maintains daily logbook up to date with customer requests, worked performed each day, job numbers, dates and times and tasks assigned to Installers and Apprentices
  • Ensures timesheets are accurate, filled out completely with job numbers, phase codes, time adds up, hours are correct, time card is signed and submitted every Monday by 8:00 am to Operations Department Administrator. Also responsible for the accuracy of Apprentice timesheets
  • Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems and installation techniques
  • Performs all work according to Company standards and quality
  • All jobs are run within each phase’s estimate (example: wire pull, mounting, etc.)
  • Work with Technical Support Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turn over of jobs to the Customer and Service Department
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Supervises: Other Installers, Apprentices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

  • 1+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
  • Ability to read blue prints and schematics
  • Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
  • Basic computer skills

Service Technician

OVERVIEW:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the service, maintenance and repair of items sold, leased, or rented to Customers.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties may also be assigned. Please note that the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location.

  • Supports Customers via phone and/or by onsite service calls
  • Communicates with customers to assist them in the proper use of the system
  • Performs routine on-site Scheduled Maintenance calls
  • Responsible for identifying, repairing and/or replacing defective parts
  • Responsible for verifying all systems and components have been installed, are functioning and are documented properly prior to acceptance of the system in the Operations-to-Service Turnover meeting
  • Maintains records of hours worked, parts used and work performed for each service call
  • Maintains a clear communications between Customers, Dispatchers and Service Manager
  • Responsible for the proper maintenance and care of company assigned vehicles. Vehicle must be clean and free of defects that are considered unsafe by the company or state law
  • Performs other duties which may be assigned by the Service Supervisor and/or Dispatcher
  • Required to be on call after normal working hours as scheduled by the Service Manager
  • Required to work after normal working hours to complete pending service call(s) or as scheduled by the Service Manager
  • Assists in the training of new Service personnel on products and/or techniques
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

  • 4+ years working in a service related field
  • Knowledge of AC/DC theory
  • Mathematical skills
  • Above average computer skills
