Security 101® - Orlando, a leading security systems integrator, announced Pace Brantley School as the winner of the 2018 Gift of Security. The corporate giving initiative donates $10,000 worth of integrated security services from locally owned offices, and equipment from program product partner, Axis Communications, to deserving nonprofits. All integrated security solutions provided are completely free for the nonprofit winner.
This year nearly 70,000 votes were cast collectively to determine 15 nonprofit award winners at different office locations throughout the country.
Since inception, the Gift of Security has provided integrated security solutions to nearly 30 organizations. The most challenging part is getting organizations to understand the legitimacy of the giving program and to nominate themselves. Local offices are privately owned and under no obligation to participate in the Gift of Security. In fact, employees at participating local offices often donate their time during the work week to execute the program and donate time on the weekend for installations.
The award presentation will take place in January 2018.
Nonprofit finalists have been named for the 2018 Gift of Security and the winning nonprofit will be determined by online vote. Voting to take place November 16 - December 8.

Security 101 - Orlando and Axis Communications, Inc. have flexed their giving muscles and have helped to provide Lake Brantley High School in Orlando with a brand new set of upgrades and IP capabilities to the school's ailing security systems.
Each year, the ASIS Foundation School Security Funding Competition finds a deserving facility in the host city of the ASIS trade show, and provides funding for critical security upgrades and equipment.
After working closely with school officials to determine their needs, Security 101 - Orlando owner Ross Linville planned carefully for the new equipment and several other companies jumped in to help in any way they could. Axis Communications, Inc. provided the cameras, Ditek Surge supplied surge modules for the exterior cameras, ADI stepped in to provide free rack mount surge suppression units, and Wiring Technologies Inc. connected it all by running the necesary cable.
When everything came together, Lake Brantley High School was able to proudly say it had itself a brand new state of the art IP video system with (18) new IP color cameras, licenses, new wiring and surge suppression, and a new network video recorder — with almost half of the cost absorbed by the suppliers.
Security 101 - Orlando hosted a lunch and learn on August 23, 2016 at Fleming's Prime Steak House & Wine Bar. Guest speakers from Remote Security Solutions, Briefcam, and Avigilon discussed virtual guard services as well as enhanced, self-learning video analytics and smart camera technologies, and how this technology is being used in conjunction with virtual guard services (managed video surveillance applications) to monitor a site’s activity and intelligently notify operators of specific video events. Each April, owners from Security 101 franchises across the country descend upon the Security 101 Owners Meeting. The franchises are recognized for outstanding work throughout the year with a variety of awards. Ross Manfredi, co-owner of Security 101 - Orlando, had set a goal of earning the office of the year award upon hearing of the award four years prior. This year, his goal became a reality for the Orlando team.
Ross Manfredi states:
"This award is for the single office location that did the best in several categories and I am proud that our team was able to make that happen. Ross and I would like to thank each and every one of you for your efforts in getting our office recognized for this award."
The award will be proudly displayed in the Orlando office.
Security 101 – Orlando prides itself on providing fanatical customer service. When customers take the time to recognize members of the Security 101 – Orlando team, they call it “Customer Magic”. Today’s Customer Magic was provided by Justin Campbell, an Account Executive at Security 101 – Orlando, for his commitment to going above and beyond for the customer.
Ross Manfredi, owner at Security 101 – Orlando states “Justin will consistently go above and beyond for his customers to ensure they have the best solution for their sites along with assisting them in the design of those systems [and] in many cases saving them money while adding devices.”
Here’s what a recent customer was inspired to say about Justin:
"I wanted to take a moment today to send a special thanks and offer recognition to one of your employees for amazing customer service and personifying excellence. Our focus is and has always been to create the ultimate user experience for our customers. Because without them we would be nothing.
When I met Justin Campbell for the first time, we were trying to make heads or tails with the construction of our new corporate headquarters. I had already been through meetings with three or four security companies. But each of those meetings left something to be desired. My first meeting with Justin was completely different than any of the previous vendors. He listened to all the requirements we had and immediately started asking probing and qualifying questions. His level of expertise was extraordinary. His willingness to help and attention to detail with our questions was incredible. When it came time to choose a vendor, Justin had been so helpful, quick to respond and easy to work with, that there really wasn’t another vendor that could even come close. We hold ourselves to a very high standard and because of that, more often than not we feel let down by the companies that support us. This couldn’t be farther from the truth with Security 101. Justin has reaffirmed that there are other companies out there that have the same high standards and focus on customer service. To not just settle for what the customer asked for, but to dig deeper and find out if there is anything missing that the customer didn’t ask for, but really needs.
Because of the time and dedication Justin has shown, Security 101 is and will be our vendor of choice for all of our security and access control need for a long time to come. I just wanted someone to know what an amazing job he is doing and that he is representing Security 101 with flawless execution. Thanks Justin for everything, this building wouldn’t have been the same without your help and guidance. I look forward to continuing to work with you and Security 101 for many years to come."
Stephen has been named the recipient of the Security 101 - Orlando "Operational Excellence Award". This distinction is given to a member of Team101 who has selfishly gone above and beyond the call of duty to help out both internal and external customers, constantly staying late, getting in early, and taking care of business whenever and wherever they are needed — even for another's installation.
Security 101 - Orlando would like to recognize the tremendous efforts made by Jason Pasik in sales and project management. Jason has toppled the $1 million dollar mark in sales and it is notable to add that he project-managed the entire book of business along with several other installations and service duties.
