What do we look for in a Sales Pro?

The Security 101 sales professional is responsible for promoting and selling Security 101 services and technology within an assigned territory, leveraging relationships, and closing new business for our company while ensuring customer retention. An Account Executive is responsible for securing profitable sales and generating reoccurring revenue to new and existing and customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and retention by initiating post installation follow-ups. This rep will also have a commanding knowledge of our product line, as well as that of our services.

  • Create new market share by selling Security 101 products and services to new local commercial customers.
  • Sell managed services and generating reoccurring revenue.
  • Identify prospects utilizing creative lead-generating techniques and maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Independently establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies and tactics, and consistently apply time and territory management techniques.
  • Follow up with prospects.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and customers' issues and needs through in-house training and reading/research.
  • Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.
  • Process work order and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.
  • Conduct post installation follow-up by contacting customer, ensuring commitments were met and affirming customer satisfaction once the customer has been in service.

Education
  • College degree preferred

Position overview:

Plans, organizes,directs, and controls project activities required for effective management of electronic security installation projects. Supervises installation and sub-contractors. Estimates and prices job charges. Works with financial, contract management and other management reports and tools to define project problems to assure project profitability. Responsible for training and developing employees as well as responsible for the quality of installation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and schedules engineering, installation, and sub-contracting activities on large and/or complex systems, or service installed jobs
  • Maintains current job plans and specifications
  • Works with engineering department on design and drafting phases of jobs
  • Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services and controls timely delivery to job site
  • Prepares the project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures
  • Determines, from review of various information, necessary changes in design, contract price, installation plan or other activity and implements same
  • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades
  • Selects and monitors the performance of sub-contractors
  • Keeps self, superiors and subordinates informed of progress
  • Maintains all records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records and supervises the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use
  • May estimate or assist in estimating projects which the company is bidding
  • Implements quality assurance program to continuously improve customer satisfaction

Training and Development:
  • Studies literature and attends seminars to stay current with regards to products, processes and materials
  • Works with installers on security concepts, ISN and installation procedures and product training for their advancement
Job Closure:
  • Responsible for completing As-Builds
  • Responsible for completing all paperwork, PO’s are completed, notice of completions. (NOC) is sent, and jobs are turned over to service
  • Job close out report is completed
Supervisory Duties:

In accordance with applicable Security 101 policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises:

  • Sub-Contractors

Minimum qualifications:

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

Knowledge:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Associates degree (2 year) or Bachelor degree (4 year) in a technical capacity is desirable

Skills/Abilities:

  • Five years of experience in the engineering and installation of Electronic and Security Systems, or related field
  • Has a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC’s and operations
  • Good subcontracting skills required
  • An understanding of job financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the handling of large projects.

Technician

Position overview:

Technicians report to the Installation Project Manager but are responsible to the Project Managers on a daily activities basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing installation, startup and closeout of all jobs, coordinating and assigning activities and tasks to installers and apprentices, assisting Project Managers in design, and other tasks as assigned by the Project Managers.

Responsibilities/duties:

Please note the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location.

  • Installs and pulls wire as per spcifications
  • Installs and wires equipment used in systems
  • Tests all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of system
  • Work in compliance with the company’s safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times
  • All paperwork is turned in on time and filled out completely (example: vehicle log, time cards, FSR’s etc
  • Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements and general status of jobs
  • Timecards are accurate, filled out completely with job numbers, and phase codes. The tiime adds up, hours are correct, time card is signed and turned in every Monday by 10:00 am to Operations AA. Responsible to make sure cards have arrived at company. Also responsible for apprentice’s timecard accuracy
  • Works with Project Manager to oversee the installation of multiple crews to ensure jobs are on track and within the estimate
  • Responsible for training apprentices on company procedures, systems and installation techniques
  • All work is performed to company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced
  • All jobs are run within each phases estimate (example: wire pull, mounting, etc.)
  • Works with Systems Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turn over of jobs to the client and service department
