Mr. Parris has more than 15 years of experience working on integrated systems projects. Prior to starting Security 101, he served as Regional Tech Manager for Northern Computers / Honeywell Access in the southeast region. In addition, he served in the U.S. Navy and holds a Microsoft Certification.  

The Atlanta office of Security 101 is proud to have the opportunity to give back to the community. 

The Empty Stocking Fund
This organization was in need of a security system for its main headquarters.  Security 101 provided a camera, access control equipment and software free of charge.  In addition, technicians performed all installation and programming labor to efficiently secure The Empty Stocking Fund offices.

Battered Women’s Shelter
Due to the high risk factor in the shelter, there was a need to keep its residents and staff safe from intruders.  Security 101 donated all equipment and labor, including access control, panic alarms and the implementation for a “safe room.”

Security 101 proudly sponsors the following school programs:

Tony Serrano Century Memorial Ride – Monroe, GA
Security 101 has been an active sponsor of this annual cycling event since its inception in 2004, both financially and through volunteering.  Funds raised from the ride are donated to promote bicycle advocacy for safety and awareness; over $19,000 to date has been donated to the Atlanta Bicycle Campaign, Georgia Bikes and Healing Angels Medical Clinic.  Tony was the brother-in-law of company owner Chris Parris.

The Corporate Culture of Security 101 is best described as customer- and employee-oriented.  The Atlanta office of Security 101 makes it a priority to give its employees all the tools, resources and training necessary to excel at what they do.  Along with these tools, Chris Wise and Chris Parris always provide encouragement and praise to motivate everyone on the team, while making the best choices possible to support the company’s exponential growth.  The company offers its employees 401K and retirement plans as well as a generous profit-sharing program.  Monthly meetings are designed to train, inform and motivate.

Throughout the year, Security 101 hosts several events to show appreciation for all employees and their families.  The Company Picnic takes place in the fall and a New Year Kickoff Party at the beginning of the year.

To thank the Security 101 team for an outstanding 2006, the owners treated all employees to an all-expense paid company trip to Cancun, Mexico, in April 2007.
